Message from the President
It was nice to see so many of you at our kick-off luncheon. I enjoyed seeing the mixing and mingling. I would like to give a special thank you to Professor Anne-Marie Lelkes, CPA, for bringing a tableful of TAMUK students. If you haven’t been to a monthly luncheon in a while please come out and join us. I would be happy to welcome you. But if luncheons are hard to make because of schedule conflicts don’t worry we have a lot of activities planned for this year’s 70th anniversary.

The chapter also received a special gift from our colleagues in the San Angelo Chapter of TSCPA. Their chapter recently voted to donate $700 from the net revenue from their September member event to the Corpus Christi Chapter to assist with hurricane relief and recovery. Our chapter board approved matching this donation to make a greater impact in our local community.

In the spirit of giving back, we have THREE opportunities for service lined up for those who are able to donate clothing, hygiene products, and time to assist those in need in our community. Read on for details about how you can participate.

I’m looking forward to seeing you at our next luncheon on Oct. 20 for TSCPA’s Legislative Update. You won’t want to miss out on this engaging and informative presentation. Come dressed in your best ‘50s getup to mark the first full decade of CCTSCPA’s existence.

And finally, I want to draw your attention to our call for nominations for next year’s chapter leadership. If you’ve been looking for a rewarding way to give back to your profession, service on the chapter board is a great way to start. Details are included below.

Please share your ideas and thoughts with me at I want to hear from you.

As always, thank you for your membership!
