Message from the President
Amy Twardowski
Amy Twardowski, CPA
Last week, we held our 57th Annual Tax Conference. This event is traditionally our largest program each year. We had nearly 150 attendees join us this time around. The combination of knowledgeable speakers, a new venue, and nine hours of CPE made for a great day! Many thanks to Paul Damerow and Kellie Shipley for their work in planning this year’s conference, to Jeff Smith for his work coordinating the silent auction, to the generous donors, bidders, and winners in our silent auction, and to our attendees for their continued support of our chapter programs.

The Corpus Christi Bar Association is hosting our annual networking luncheon on February 11. We hope you’ll take advantage of the chance to connect with other professionals and hear from the new Texas Secretary of State Judge Carlos Cascos. Judge Cascos is a CPA and member of TSCPA. Read on for luncheon details and other items of interest from the chapter and TSCPA.

Thank you for your membership!

CPAs on the Air!
All members benefit from the chapter promoting the CPA profession in the Coastal Bend. This spring the Corpus Christi Chapter will again work with KEDT (90.3 FM) to host five-minute radio segments on tax and personal finance topics. The eight-week series will begin this month and run through mid-April. Listen for your colleagues on the air beginning the week of Feb. 23 on Mondays at 4:44 p.m. and Tuesdays at 8:04 a.m.!
