Financial Literacy
Now that tax season has rolled around, many taxpayers will be seeking CPA services and trying to learn about recent tax law changes.
Thanks to the American Institute of CPAs’ (AICPA) new tax season presentation materials, you can showcase your expertise and help people in your community without having to spend precious time writing a speech.
The AICPA’s Tax Saving Tips presentation includes a speech and PowerPoint slides. These Speakers Bureau resources are available in the Resource Center on tscpa.org by clicking on Member Communities, then Volunteer.
You can also request free brochures on the topic by e-mailing Jennifer Nimmo jnimmo@tscpa.net or phoning 800-428-0272x652 / 972-687-8652.

Accounting Career Education (ACE)
Spring showers not only bring May flowers, they also bring career fairs. A good way to connect students with the CPA profession is by volunteering to help your chapter with classroom presentations and career fairs.
Also, TSCPA has sent an ACE postcard to chapter-selected schools. The postcard reminds teachers to call on TSCPA if they need free materials or guest speakers during the spring semester. Let your chapter know if you are interested! Or e-mail Donna Fritz dfritz@tscpa.net or phone 800-428-0272x201 / 972-687-8501.
