Community Service in October

In addition to our monthly CPE luncheon, CCTSCPA has lined up three community service opportunities for members and their colleagues and friends and families. We’d love to have your participation in the following programs this month!

Hurricane Clean Up with Samaritan’s Purse
– Oct. 14 and Oct. 21

Join groups of CCTSCPA volunteers on Oct. 14 and Oct. 21 to help with hurricane clean up in affected communities. All volunteers will complete an orientation on the day of volunteering at either 7:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. Volunteers will report to the First Baptist Church in Portland (1305 Wildcat Drive) to be oriented and assigned to a work site.

Email mbentley@tscpa.net to let us know on which day you would like to volunteer and for what time (morning, afternoon, or all day). All volunteers must complete an application prior to arrival. You will receive more details and instructions after you submit your volunteer date/time preferences by email. Please note: No children under the age of 14 will be allowed to participate. Fourteen and 15-year-olds must be accompanied by a parent. Sixteen and 17-year-olds may volunteer without a parent, but must have a waiver signed and notarized if they plan to participate without a parent.

Questions about these opportunities can be directed to Melinda Bentley at 800/428-0272, ext. 279 or by email to mbentley@tscpa.net
